Everyone take cover. It's so weird to me that people outside of the industry don't get that it's a big freaking deal when an investment bank like Lehman goes down. Hello? Do you not get that investment banks serve a purpose? They're not just big useless behemoths that make a ton of money....

they arent big and useless

they are big and serve a purpose

but they still make alot of of money that...may...or maynot be deserved.................

very few professions in this world that allows someone to get filthy rich, by being a middleman who essentially....adds minimal value

Agreed...to an extent. If you think people at investment banks don't work their a$$es off (including the higher ups, although I can't speak for people at the CEO level) you're kidding yourself.
